Controversial Ghanaian preacher Prophet Nicholas Osei, widely known as Kumchacha, has unleashed a fiery critique against the organizers of the Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA), accusing them of sheer incompetence and—more explosively—poverty.

In a no-holds-barred outburst, Kumchacha slammed the event planners over what he described as “disgraceful and unacceptable” venue challenges that have plagued one of Ghana’s most prestigious entertainment events. According to him, the situation paints a bleak picture of an awards scheme that should be setting the gold standard.

“Are they poor?” he fumed, questioning how organizers of such a high-profile event could fail to secure a befitting and well-prepared venue. His comments have since sparked intense debate across social media, with many echoing his frustrations while others accuse him of being overly harsh.

The outspoken preacher didn’t stop there. He suggested that the recurring logistical issues reflect deeper cracks within the organization, warning that continued mismanagement could tarnish the reputation of the awards and disrespect the very artists it seeks to celebrate.

The TGMA, known for honoring Ghana’s biggest musical talents, now finds itself under public scrutiny—not for its nominees or performances—but for behind-the-scenes shortcomings that critics say are becoming too frequent to ignore.

As the backlash grows, all eyes are on the organizers to respond—and more importantly, to fix what critics are calling an “embarrassing mess” before the spotlight shines even brighter.
