The surprise appearance at the fifth edition of the gospel concert in Accra added a crossover moment to an evening of praise, worship and tributes to late Ghanaian music personalities.
Highlife musician Kuami Eugene made a surprise appearance at the fifth edition of Piesie Esther’s annual Flora Made By Grace concert, joining the gospel singer on stage during the event held in Accra on Sunday, November 1, 2026.
The concert took place at Perez Chapel International, popularly known as Perez Dome, in Dzorwulu, under the theme “The Greater Grace Encounter.” It marked five years of the initiative, which brings gospel ministers and music lovers together for an evening of praise and worship.
Kuami Eugene’s appearance was one of the evening’s unexpected highlights. Piesie Esther invited the award-winning musician to join her on stage, drawing excitement from patrons as the two artistes shared the platform.
His presence brought a different musical dimension to the gospel gathering, which featured performances from several established gospel musicians.
Gospel stars lead worship
The event featured a line-up of gospel performers, including Ohemaa Mercy, DCOP Kofi Sarpong, the Tagoe Sisters, Francis Amo, Kweku Teye, Uncle Ato and Emmanuel Juddah. The Breaking Yoke Choir also delivered a special ministration.
The concert began at 4 p.m., with admission free to the public. It was powered by Flora, a brand from Delta Paper Mill.
Several personalities from Ghana’s entertainment and public sectors also attended, including broadcaster Serwaa Amihere, actress Akumaa Mama Zimbi, Benedicta Gafah, Florence Obinim, Queen Florence The Lioness and Minister for Communication, Digital Technology and Innovations Sam George.
Piesie Esther honours Bernice Offei
Beyond the performances, Piesie Esther created a moment of remembrance for veteran gospel musician Bernice Offei, who died in September 2026 at the age of 63.
She honoured the late singer by performing her song Hold On, recognising her contribution to Ghana’s gospel music industry.
Piesie Esther also remembered 15-year-old Ghanaian Javits Frimpong, who was shot dead in the Bronx, New York, in October.
Kumasi edition scheduled for November 15
The fifth Flora Made By Grace concert brought together gospel music, celebrity appearances and tributes, marking a milestone in Piesie Esther’s annual initiative.
Following the Accra edition, the concert is scheduled to move to Kumasi on November 15, 2026, with the next gathering expected to extend the celebration to gospel music lovers in the Ashanti Region.
