Pastor Chris Oyakhilome, the founder and head of Loveworld Incorporated, also referred to as Christ Embassy, has declared that masturbating is not a sin in the eyes of the Christian God.

In response to a query about “how one can stop masturbating,” the well-known televangelist clarified that, in God’s view, masturbation is not a sin.

Many Christians, he said, consider masturbation to be a sin, an idea that Satan uses to subjugate and demoralize Christians. But in actuality, masturbation has nothing to do with God; it is not a sin in and of itself. It only becomes a sin before God if Christians allow it to negatively impact their relationship with Him.

“No matter how wrong it is in your mind, in itself [masturbation], it is not a sin against God… Any habit that gains mental traction is the only thing that offends God. That is when God is offended,” Pastor Chris explained.

It was stressed by the preacher that masturbation is not specifically mentioned or classified as a sin anywhere in the Bible.

He explained, “In the whole Bible, it does not say anything about masturbation. Now somebody may say, ‘What about uncleanliness?’, but that is not masturbation. You can have uncleanliness in masturbation and many other things. So, if you want to stop masturbation, stop it. It has got nothing to do with God.”
