A young woman has caused widespread concern online after sharing a disturbing experience she claims happened shortly after boarding a commercial tricycle, commonly known as a “keke”.
According to her account, what began as a routine ride quickly turned unsettling when a male passenger allegedly grabbed her hand without warning, leaving her shocked and frightened in the confined space.
“I was just sitting quietly when he suddenly grabbed my hand,” she reportedly narrated, describing the moment as both confusing and alarming.

She says the incident happened so quickly that she struggled to process what was going on, adding that she immediately felt unsafe and unsure of how to respond in the crowded vehicle.
The story has since triggered heated reactions on social media, with many users expressing anger over rising concerns about harassment in public transport systems, while others have called for better safety awareness among commuters.
Some commentators are urging passengers—especially women—to remain vigilant and report suspicious behaviour immediately, while also calling on transport authorities to improve safety monitoring in shared transport services.
Though the full context of the incident remains unclear, the account continues to fuel broader conversations about personal safety, boundaries, and accountability in everyday commuting experiences.
