Following the controversy surrounding Martha Ankomah and Kwadwo Nkansah’s (LilWin) legal battle and social media spat, Ghanaian radio host Nana B has asked a question.
The actress thinks Kumawood is too bad because most of the films revolve around ghosts, witchcraft, and the use of profanity. Consequently, Lil Win also chastised Martha Ankomah for her low rating of Kumawood productions.
After the actress summoned Lil Win for making disparaging remarks about her, the situation became extremely delicate and risky.
But during the online responses and counterreactions, radio host Nana B, who is based in Accra, asked if some seductive roles that Martha had in older films made sense.
He said this during a conversation with Asare Bediako, the director of Kumawood, who maintained that LilWin should not have taken Martha Ankomah’s remarks personally.
According to Asare Bediako, Martha is the only one who can reject a certain kind of script, and that decision should be respected. He also emphasized that LilWin was not supposed to criticize the actress because her comments were not intended for her. He said,
“If LilWin had contacted Martha and she had told him that the script did not make sense, then he has a point. The actor/director shot back, saying that as screenwriters, it is our responsibility to ensure that our stories make sense.
“About ten years ago, when Martha was working with Venus films, she could put her breast on display, she could strip around her breast. Did such roles make sense?.”
