A Jos resident has set social media alight with a chilling warning about rising insecurity in the Plateau State capital — sparked by an encounter with a commercial motorbike rider who didn’t even know the road. Her dramatic story has struck a nerve, highlighting fears about safety and strangers in the city.

According to her account, what began as an ordinary ride quickly turned alarming. She asked a motorcycle rider to take her between two familiar spots in Jos, but he allegedly had no idea of the route. Attempts to communicate in Hausa, a widely spoken local language, were met with blank stares, reinforcing her suspicion that these were not the usual riders.

“Omo, Nigerians see, any way you fit take defend yourself abeg do am,” she warned, urging people to stay vigilant and protect themselves. Her video and post quickly went viral, sparking heated discussions among residents who shared similar fears about unfamiliar faces on the streets.
