Accra — The Chief Executive Officer of Ghana Export-Import Bank, Sylvester Mensah, has declared that sustainability is becoming a core pillar of the bank’s operations, signaling a major shift in its long-term strategy to drive inclusive and responsible economic growth.

Speaking on the bank’s evolving vision, Mensah said sustainability is no longer being treated as a standalone initiative but is being embedded into the very DNA of Ghana EXIM Bank, influencing its financing decisions, institutional culture, and development agenda.

He explained that the bank is committed to supporting businesses and projects that deliver lasting economic value while promoting environmental stewardship, social responsibility, and sound governance.

According to him, integrating sustainability into the bank’s operations will strengthen its ability to support export-led industrialisation, create jobs, and enhance Ghana’s global competitiveness.

The CEO noted that the strategy aligns with broader national development priorities and reflects the growing importance of sustainable finance in today’s global economy.

He further stressed that Ghana EXIM Bank will continue to work with businesses, policymakers, and development partners to promote investments that balance economic growth with long-term environmental and social impact.
