The Office of the Presidential Envoy for Interfaith and Ecumenical Relations has donated GH¢100,000 to the Dialysis Centre at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital to support the facility’s operations and improve care for kidney patients.

The donation is expected to contribute to efforts aimed at strengthening dialysis services and easing some of the challenges faced by patients who rely on the centre for life-saving treatment.

Representatives of the Office said the gesture forms part of its commitment to supporting critical healthcare initiatives and responding to the needs of vulnerable groups within society.

Management of the dialysis centre welcomed the support, noting that partnerships and donations play an important role in improving healthcare delivery and ensuring that patients receive better assistance.

The contribution comes at a time when kidney disease management and access to dialysis services remain major concerns, with healthcare stakeholders calling for increased support, investment, and public awareness.

The intervention is expected to provide additional relief to the centre as it continues its mission of delivering specialised care to patients in need.
