Residents of Bolgatanga and its surrounding communities have received a major healthcare boost following a free health screening exercise organized by the KGL Foundation, a move aimed at improving access to quality healthcare and promoting early detection of diseases.

The humanitarian initiative attracted scores of residents, including the elderly, women, and young people, who turned up in large numbers to take advantage of the free medical services offered by healthcare professionals.

Participants underwent various medical examinations, including blood pressure checks, blood sugar testing, body mass index assessments, and general health consultations. Medical personnel also provided health education and counseling on lifestyle-related conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, and cardiovascular diseases.

Speaking during the exercise, representatives of the KGL Foundation reiterated the organization’s commitment to supporting the well-being of vulnerable communities across Ghana through impactful health and social intervention programs.

According to organizers, the initiative forms part of the Foundation’s broader mission to complement government efforts in healthcare delivery while creating awareness about the importance of routine medical check-ups and preventive healthcare.

The event also served as an opportunity to identify individuals requiring further medical attention and refer them to appropriate health facilities for treatment and follow-up care.
