Chef Failatu Abdul Razak, the Ghanaian woman who made history for the longest cooking time (227 hours), has disclosed that she had malaria and numbness

Falia shared what she went through in a TV3 interview; she said that there was a time when she felt sick. However, she appreciated the support given to her during the period by Ghanaians.

Speaking about her dedication to shattering the record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual set by Guinness World Records, Chef Faila said she did it voluntarily and without coercion from her teammates.

According to the Ghanaian chef, she would have been happy to pass away while working in the kitchen. Faila stressed that she was willing to die for the people who believed in her.

To make history and alter the narrative of her family and the North, where she is from, was another reason she continued to cook.
