BoG Exchange Rates for July 14: See How the Ghana Cedi Performed Against the Dollar, Pound and Euro

The Bank of Ghana has released its official interbank foreign exchange rates for Tuesday, July 14, showing how the Ghana cedi traded against major international currencies.

According to the central bank’s latest figures, the US dollar traded at a mid-rate of GH¢11.5160, with a buying rate of GH¢11.5102 and a selling rate of GH¢11.5218. The British pound sterling traded at a mid-rate of GH¢15.4130, while the euro closed at GH¢13.1634.

Other key exchange rates published by the Bank of Ghana include the Canadian dollar at GH¢8.1871, the Australian dollar at GH¢8.0317, the Swiss franc at GH¢14.2377, the Chinese yuan at GH¢1.7008, and the South African rand at GH¢0.7032.

The daily interbank exchange rates serve as the official benchmark for foreign exchange transactions and are calculated using weighted transaction data submitted by commercial banks operating in Ghana.

Businesses, importers, exporters, travellers, and individuals dealing in foreign currencies are advised to note that exchange rates offered by commercial banks and forex bureaus may vary slightly from the Bank of Ghana’s published interbank rates.
