German Bundesliga giants RB Leipzig have reportedly joined the growing list of clubs chasing Ghanaian winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku ahead of the summer transfer window.
The highly-rated Black Stars attacker is attracting massive attention in Europe following his impressive performances for Leicester City despite the club’s disappointing season. Reports suggest Leipzig are closely monitoring the explosive winger as they prepare to strengthen their squad for next season.
According to transfer reports, the Bundesliga outfit see Fatawu as a possible replacement for Ivorian youngster Yan Diomande, who could leave the club at the end of the campaign after an outstanding season in Germany.
But Leipzig are not alone in the race.
Premier League sides including Everton F.C., Leeds United F.C. and Sunderland A.F.C. are also reportedly keeping tabs on the Ghana international as interest in the winger continues to intensify.
Fatawu’s future at Leicester has become a major topic of discussion after the club’s relegation struggles, with many expecting the talented winger to seek a move away despite being contracted until 2029.
The 22-year-old enjoyed a brilliant campaign, scoring goals, providing assists and terrorising defenders with his pace, dribbling skills and creativity on the wings. His performances have further cemented his reputation as one of Ghana’s brightest football talents.
At international level, Fatawu has already become an important figure for the Ghana national football team and is expected to play a key role for the Black Stars at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
With Europe’s top clubs now circling, the coming transfer window could prove decisive in shaping the next chapter of Fatawu Issahaku’s rapidly rising career.
