A heated public debate has erupted after Ghanaian academic and public commentator Dr Palgrave Boakye-Danquah strongly criticized comments attributed to the leadership of the Free Zones Authority, insisting that the Christian community must be treated with dignity and respect.
In a sharply worded reaction, Dr Palgrave condemned what he described as “disrespectful undertones” in recent remarks linked to the CEO of the Free Zones Authority, arguing that faith communities should never be casually dismissed or undermined in national discourse.
According to him, Christianity remains a major moral and cultural pillar in Ghana, and any perceived slight against its followers risks deepening tensions and public outrage.
His comments have intensified an already sensitive conversation, with supporters praising his stance as a defense of religious respect, while critics warn against escalating institutional disagreements into faith-based confrontations.
The Free Zones Authority CEO has not yet issued a detailed public response to the backlash, but the issue has quickly gained traction across media and social platforms, with many calling for calm and clarity from both sides.
Discussions around governance, leadership, and religion are once again colliding at the center of national attention — and the fallout is far from over.
