A Nigerian newlywed recounted her horrific experience of losing her sight barely 36 hours before her wedding.

The loss of vision was caused by a chemist supplying the incorrect eye drop for her and instructing her to use it at night.

The bride, also known as @explorraa on TikTok, awoke the next day with dilated pupils and was unable to see. She was extremely sensitive to light, causing her eyes to tear up.

The chemist said that the eye drop was intended for specific medical uses and was not suitable for routine use.

The bride was promptly scheduled for an emergency visit with an optometrist, who informed her that the limited time frame before her wedding would not allow her to fully regain her vision.

Despite her partial blindness, she opted to go with her wedding while continuing to seek medical treatment in the hopes of regaining her vision.

In her own words, she described how she lost her sight just a day before her wedding and had to get married partially blind.
