Ras Kuuku refutes being uncivilized over touring around with his VGMA plaque.

Award-winning reggae dancehall artiste Ras Kuuku has debunked accusations that is is a villager or uncivilized after he was spotted carrying his Vodafone Ghana Music Award plaque wherever he went.

According to the artist, the award depicts ghetto youth and thus carrying it everywhere is his way of making them feel proud.

Speaking in an interview with Amnasan Krakye on Kastle FM, the reggae artist cited that his award is for everyone to see and recognize his acheivement as it is not easy to win one.

“Do you think it’s easy to be recognized with an award so those saying that I’m uncivilized for going round with my VGMA plaque wish they were the one holding it.

“And besides it is not easy to say that in the year 2020 which is not a small year which has been marked that in the history of Ghana music Ras Kuuku was crowned reggae and dancehall artiste of the year,” he stated.

He told the host that he has fans abroad who love his music and after showing his plaque to to Ghanaians, he needed to show it to fans living outside of Ghana as well.

He further added that he has songs and performances that can prove he worked hard to deserve the plaque along side having international based fans.
