On the festival’s second day, Pappy Kojo, who was scheduled to perform, showed up on stage not to play but to criticize the organizers for allegedly breaking their contract.

He had previously tweeted his intention to interrupt the show because he had not received the agreed-upon performance fee. Pappy Kojo threatened to use violence, but his threats were ignored. He then confronted the DJs and took hold of an on-stage mixer. This ignited fury in the organizers and staff present, causing one of the bouncers to shove him off the stage.
