A video showing a lecturer at Kano University of Science and Technology Wudil subjecting students to physical punishment and assault during a lecture has surfaced online.
The video, which has since gone viral, reveals the lecturer engaging in various forms of corporal punishment.
In the video, a male student is seen undergoing the frog jump punishment, leaping from the stairs to the hall podium at the instruction of the lecturer.
Additionally, the lecturer is captured slapping two male students behind their necks while issuing instructions, and other students are shown kneeling and raising their hands.
Netizens has responded with a mix of shock and condemnation, questioning the appropriateness of such harsh disciplinary actions against university students.
