Idris Okuneye, also known as Bobrisky, is a well-known social media personality and a contentious cross-dresser. He was detained by Nigeria’s Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Frequently in the news for his involvement in various scandals, Bobrisky is currently under the EFCC’s custody at their Lagos Command.

Bobrisky’s detention is related to claims of naira abuse, such as the spraying and mutilation of naira notes, according to EFCC spokeswoman Dele Oyewale.

Declaring the arrest verified, Oyewale highlights how the EFCC takes the integrity of the country’s currency very seriously.

“Bobrisky is with us. He was arrested last night in Lagos, and he is at our Lagos command. We arrested him for alleged abuse of naira notes, spraying of naira notes, and currency mutilation, among others,” stated Oyewale.

Although the investigation into the matter is still ongoing, Bobrisky will eventually be charged in court, according to the EFCC.
