Renowned media figure Nana Yaa Brefo has revealed a startling story about how she almost got poisoned while attending a funeral.

She revealed the details while making a statement regarding the shocking death of former Deputy Minister of Finance John Kumah, who was allegedly poisoned.

She described how she met the members of Parliament at the airport and went to a funeral with two ministers while hosting a radio program.

She mentioned that she and the two MPs decided to get some food. However, upon returning to the table, she noticed that the original taste of the drink she had ordered had changed. Speaking on Onua TV, she said

“In the course of drinking, I got up to attend to something. When I returned, the taste of the drink had changed to something quite different, like someone had washed his hands in the drink.

I immediately went to the hospital for medical attention as soon as I noticed it,” she recalled, .

Regardless of the individuals they associate with, Nana Yaa Brefo cautioned members of the public about the food they consume when attending events.

“Sometimes, you might not know the mindset people have about you, especially those who are within your circle. We should be careful about what we eat at events because anybody could be influenced to harm you through food,” said the broadcaster.
