NADMO: Supplies for flood victims won’t be diverted

The National Disaster Management Organization, NADMO, denies accusations that relief supplies for victims of spillage are being misdirected and insists that they are making targeted deliveries.
The elderly and children are given priority, according to the statement.

Seji Saji Amedonu, the Technical Deputy Director-General of NADMO, told GBC News that the organization uses the data it has gathered to determine how to distribute humanitarian supplies.

Mr. Amedonu refuted the claim that the military had withdrew from helping with the rescue and delivery of aid supplies.

It was erroneously believed that the troops had been removed when he announced that a group of soldiers needed to be redeployed to another impacted area to help the people.
