Rapper Kwesi Arthur from Ghana claims that having a public persona, is one of his greatest challenges.
The rapper admitted that one of his difficulties as an artist is his fear of being evaluated by the public as a result of his celebrity, in a GBC Breakfast Show interview.
Being in the public eye, with everyone watching what you do and attempting to assess your actions, is definitely a struggle in my opinion. Sometimes it’s uncomfortable, but I feel like that’s just part of the job I have, so I just have to take the medication,” he said.
Kwesi Arthur said, when asked about some of the surprises he has faced in the music business, “there are a lot of lies;
People claimed that I was in a pornographic video that was floating around, but I wasn’t. However, the way the video was taken reduced its clarity, making it difficult to determine that the man had dreadlocks similar to mine.
People kept claiming, “Oh it’s me, it’s me, even after the original high-quality footage was released and it was obvious it wasn’t me,” Kwesi Arthur recalled.
