Meet the Ghanaian actors and actresses who were appointed by President Mahama during his administration

The number of actors and actresses appointed by President John Dramani Mahama in his government has increased following the recent appointment of Kalsoume Sinare Baffoe.

President John Dramani Mahama, since taking office in January 2025, has appointed several actors and actresses to serve in different roles in his government.

Below is the list of actors and actresses who have received appointments.

1. John Dumelo

John Dumelo was appointed as the Deputy Minister of Food and Agriculture in February 2025. He is a popular actor and farmer who also serves as the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon. John Dumelo is well educated and is expected to help promote modern farming among the youth.

2. Dzifa Abla Gomashie

Dzifa Abla Gomashie, a veteran actress and the Member of Parliament for Ketu South, was appointed as the Minister for Tourism, Culture and Creative Arts in January 2025. 3. James Gardiner

James Gardiner, a well-known Ghanaian actor, was also given a government role. He was appointed Deputy Executive Secretary of the National Film Authority. His job is to help grow the film industry and create opportunities for young people in the movie sector.

4. Kalsoume Sinare Baffoe

Kalsoume Sinare Baffoe, a respected actress and former model, was appointed as Ghana’s Ambassador to Spain. Her appointment was confirmed in June 2025. She has acted in many movies and also holds degrees in public service and international relations.
