Mahama will cancel free SHS if elected — Nana B

Henry Nana Boakye, National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), has expressed skepticism over John Dramani Mahama’s promise to maintain the Free Senior High School (SHS) policy.

In an interview on Peace FM, Nana B questioned Mahama’s commitment to the policy, citing the NDC’s history of opposing it.

Nana B stated that Mahama’s actions and utterances show he is against the policy, and his party will cancel it if they come back to power.

He urged Ghanaians to vote against Mahama in the 2024 elections, accusing him of being against the policy during his previous presidency.

The NPP’s concerns have sparked a heated debate on the future of the Free SHS policy, with the NDC yet to respond to these allegations.

The policy has been a significant flagship program of the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia administration, providing free education to Senior High School students across the country.
