Director Famous, a well-known figure in the Kumawood industry, recently shed light on a situation involving popular actors Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin and Van Vicker before the filming of “A Country Called Ghana”.

According to Director Famous, Lilwin had initially intended for Van Vicker to play a role in the movie instead of Nigerian actor Ramsey Noah. However, plans took a turn when Van Vicker backed out of the project for undisclosed reasons, forcing Lilwin to bring in Nigerian actors to fill the void.

In an interview with One Ghana TV, Director Famous expressed disappointment in the lack of support from Ghanaian actors and actresses, stating that Lilwin wanted to showcase Ghanaian talent in the film but was let down by his own people. This led to him seeking talent from outside the country to ensure the success of the movie.

Director Famous also touched on the strained relationships within the Kumawood industry, claiming that there is a lack of unity and support among actors such as McBrown, Kwaku Manu, and Akrobeto towards Lilwin. This, he believes, is the reason why these actors were not cast in the movie.
