US Grammy award winner and rapper, Chance the Rapper has expressed his love for Ghanaian university specifically speaking University of Ghana Legon after his visit to the school.
Speaking on TV3’s showbiz 360, the rapper expressed that the university is a powerful, historic institution to the liberation of Africans across the globe, when he visited the school of performing arts in the school.
He added that the school has produced many of Ghana’s presidents and was grateful for the welcome reception that was given to him when he went there.
“I don’t know how much everybody that lives here everyday understands how powerful or how historic or how celebrated that institution is around the world,”
“Malcom X spoke there in 1964. One of his most important speeches is from out of that space,” he stated.
Giovani Caleb, the host of the show added that he is a proud alumnus of the school. The duo also spoke about the Black Star Line festival that is yet to take place.
