Kumawood celebs now make more money – Berma Bediide

Ghanaian comedian Berma Bediide, also known as Alex Oduro, has refuted claims that the movie industry in Ghana is dead, stating that they are actually making more money than before. In an interview on Cape Coast’s Property FM, he dismissed the notion that the industry is struggling, calling anyone who says so a liar.

According to the Kumawood actor, social media has played a significant role in helping movie stars like himself generate more income. He explained that platforms like Instagram and Facebook have provided new avenues for them to promote their movies and increase their earnings.

In the past, promoting a movie involved creating posters, radio jingles, and embarking on promotional tours. However, now actors can simply rely on social media to reach a wider audience and sell their films.

Berma Bediide highlighted the convenience of modern technology, stating that filmmakers can now sell their movies from the comfort of their own homes without the need for extensive marketing campaigns. He emphasized that it all boils down to how one chooses to leverage social media platforms to maximize their profits.
