Incredible Zigi, Ghanaian dancer, has apologised for his “artistes are sleeping, and we are the ones blowing the songs,” comment . The popular Hitz FM interview which called for recognition of dancers to be recognized  by awards scheme has suffered some backlash.

According to him, dancers contribute immensely to the success of songs released by artistes.

“Most of these songs that are getting recognition in Ghana are tailored by dancers. We spend much time on social media posting the songs. It’s like the artists are sleeping and we are the ones blowing the song. Dancers need to be awarded on a big platform like the VGMA,”
