The Medeama SC is facing one of its toughest spells this season, and head coach Ibrahim Tanko is calling for unwavering focus as the club aims to bounce back from its worst Ghana Premier League (GPL) run this year.
Tanko admitted that recent performances have fallen below expectations, leaving the team in a precarious position on the league table. “We know the fans are disappointed, and frankly, so are we,” Tanko said. “Now is the time to focus, train hard, and correct mistakes so we can recover points and climb the standings.”
The coach stressed that while injuries and form slumps have contributed to the team’s struggles, the key to turning things around lies in discipline, mental strength, and tactical consistency. He also urged the players to trust the process and remain united on and off the pitch.
Medeama’s recent slump has sparked concern among supporters, with social media buzzing over the team’s lackluster results and missed opportunities. Analysts warn that without immediate improvement, the club risks dropping further down the league table.
Tanko, however, remains optimistic. He believes that by addressing defensive lapses, improving attacking efficiency, and maintaining focus in training, Medeama can stage a remarkable recovery.
With the GPL season entering its critical phase, all eyes are on Medeama to see if Tanko’s leadership and the team’s renewed focus can end this poor run and restore confidence among fans.
