“I sold my mansion so I won’t go broke,” former UT boss Kofi Amoabeng reveals.

The former boss of the now dysfunctional UT Bank, Prince Kofi Amoabeng in a recent interview has revealed that he indeed has sold his mansion after the NPP government collapsed the bank.

 

On Business Focus on TV3, where the interview was held, the business sorrowfully expressed that he had seen the bank all the way to the top only to see it all the way to the ground.

UT bank was among the many other banks that was shut down by the New Patriotic party (NPP) on the pretext of the Bank of Ghana banking sector clean up.

 

He added that at this point in his life he has witnessed it and is in a better place to mentor people about the cronies of life.

 

“I have seen it virtually all the way to the top and I have seen it all the way to down. So, if I say I want to impact people and give them some leadership skills it is a complete thing, it is not like I have read from a book and I am telling you what to do.” Said the UT boss

He further stated that his frugal life is what has helped him adjust to the complete turnover of life.

 

He is comfortable where he is now and not leeching off anyone. He cited that he had to trade his mansion for an apartment and trade his Range Rover for a Lexus. All this he did so that he does not go broke at the end.

I am very comfortable and I have been blessed big time.”, “I don’t drive Range Rover any more, I drive a Lexus.

“It is an upgrade. I live in an apartment and I am quite comfortable.”, “I had to sell it to organize myself not to get broke,” he stated.
