Gyakie, a 23-year-old secular artist, has admitted that before going global, she was unaware of her incredible voice and had never felt confident.
She stated that she wouldn’t have believed anyone if they told her she would become a global singer while speaking on Kumasi’s Luv FM’s Drivetime show.
If you had asked me four or five years ago, I would not have predicted that I would be this huge. To be really honest, I’ve never felt that confident in myself, and I had no idea that my voice was so distinctive. I have to get somebody to tell me,” she remarked.
Gyakie claims that in order to give her fans what they want, she occasionally has to hide in her shadow due to her celebrity and experience being in the spotlight.
She claims that because she is human, people frequently mistake her for being in a certain mood.
I’ll start by saying that I have a soft side and that there have been times when everything has felt overwhelming for you personally.
“People see you as a machine right away and don’t see you as a human with emotions so they just say things and don’t imagine how the person is going to feel about it,” Gyakie said. “You come into the camera and show yourself to the world immediately.
The release of Gyakie’s music on various streaming services is preceded by prayer and fasting, as she also stated.
To be really honest with you, fasting and prayer are one thing we take very seriously. We fast and pray before releasing the majority of the songs that we release, and there is clearly a lot of preparation that goes into promoting each song that is released, she said.
