I can read 100 books a day – Read-a-thon challenger

Since Afua Asantewaa attempted to compete for the longest singing, there have been multiple thons requested by Ghanaians.

Guinness World Records has granted young Ghanaian graduate Isaac Amoako permission to begin an extraordinary reading adventure: an attempt to read aloud continuously for six days. He claims to be able to read 90–100 books in a single day.

Rysbai Isakov of Kyrgyzstan currently holds the record. In Bursa, Turkey, from September 22 to 27, 2022, Isakov recorded the longest marathon reading aloud, clocking in at a whopping 124 hours.

The University of Education (Winneba) graduate, who is currently jobless, has a dream of breaking the record for the longest reading-aloud marathon, which has stoked his love of reading.

When questioned about the genres of books he would be reading for his read-aloud marathon, Isaac revealed that they are currently being reviewed and that, before starting his read-a-thon, he would submit them to Guinness World Records.
