Kofi Gabs, often known as Mr Happiness, has sparked a sensation on social media after comparing his Dutch passport to a PhD.

He argued that his Dutch passport was more useful than his PhD because it enabled him to obtain a visa to the United States in just 24 hours.

Gabs went on to declare that he had given up his Ghanaian identity in favour of Dutch citizenship, citing a perceived lack of possibilities in Ghana.

These words triggered a response from Ghanaians on social media, who chastised Gabs for making disparaging remarks about his home country.

Despite the criticism, Gabs reiterated his position, arguing that his Dutch passport made him more important than Ghanaian business magnate Osei Kwame Despite.

He even suggested that he would be treated better than Despite while travelling just because of his passport.

Despite the scandal, Gabs’ antics continue to enrage Ghanaians and are currently trending on social media.

His behaviour has sparked more indignation among Ghanaians, who believe he is disrespecting their country and culture.
