Ghanaian rapper cum singer AY POYOO has provided a clear response to the frequent complaints from his country’s citizens regarding the reasons behind the success of Nigerian music over Ghanaian music.

In an interview, the singer revealed that, although he is bigger than Portable, Olamide helped Portable, unlike Ghanaian musicians. He said,

“I am bigger and better than Portable, but he is making more money than me. Olamide helped Portable to gain fame, but nobody helped me. I came in by myself.For all the years I was doing music in Ghana, I didn’t achieve anything. That’s why I decided to go to Nigeria. Ghanaians are not supporting us because I don’t understand how Portable is richer than me.

90% of the cast of the Ghanaian-produced film “A Place Called Ghana” is made up of Nigerians. Didn’t he see Ghanaians to cast in the movie? I don’t understand how we think here. He should have contacted me if there were no Ghanaian actors.”
