There have been widespread rumors regarding the paternity of late Nigerian rapper Mohbad’ s child, prompting calls for a DNA test. Following her husband’ s mysterious death on September 12, 2023, Mohbad’ s wife sought justice and support. She visited human rights advocate Femi Falana (SAN), who confirmed the visit and expressed his commitment to uncovering the truth behind the rapper’ s untimely demise.

In an exclusive interview, Falana revealed that he also reached out to Mr. Idowu Owohunwa, the commissioner of police for Lagos State, who assured him of a thorough investigation into the matter. Falana stated, ” llerioluwa Oladimeji Aloba, commonly known as Mohbad, left behind a young widow who came to our office on Tuesday to ask for help getting justice for her late husband. We sent our condolences to her and the entire Aloba family and reassured her that we would do all in our power to find out what exactly caused the Nigerian rapper, singer, and songwriter’ s tragic death. “

Notably, a contentious debate sparked on social media regarding the need for a DNA test on Mohbad’ s child, with some doubting his paternity. Mary Njoku, known for her outspoken views, criticized those who demanded a DNA test from a mourning widow on her Instagram story. In her exact words stated; ” A widow who gives her son’ s DNA for testing is honest. Dread. Haba! She just lost her husband! father of her child was lost! She lost her longtime protector and helper! Let her grieve in silence! Avoid adding to her suffering if you are unable to help her. “
