God bless the Ghana Police for curing my depression: Funny Face.

Funny Face said, “The Ghana Police beat the despair out of me.”

Funny Face, a well-known Ghanaian comedian and actor, had a difficult time in the latter half of 2021 and the beginning of 2022 after suffering from severe depression that landed him in a mental hospital.

He claimed that after receiving hard slaps from Ghana Police Service officers, he was able to overcome his despair.

Funny Face, whose true name is Benson Nana Yaw Oduro Boateng, the “Children’s President,” gained national attention after suffering from trauma and melancholy as a result of his several failed marriages and being denied access to his twin daughters, Ella and Bella.

You might remember that social media was flooded with videos showing Funny Face being handled improperly by certain police officers after he allegedly shot Kasoa.

He was held for a while before being transported to the Accra Psychiatry Hospital for a mental evaluation, which was successful since he was able to return to his regular work.

Funny Face took a moment to thank the Ghana Police Service on the Kwaku Sintim-Misa (KSM) Show on Pan African TV for their efforts in helping him overcome his depression and trauma.

He claims that as a result of the beatings he had from the Ghana Police Service, his depression was quickly eliminated, and he was quickly restored to his normal state of mind.

Additionally, he extolled the virtues of Dr. George Akuffo Dampare, the Inspector General of Police, for his part in helping him restore his sanity.
