Ghanaians slam Kwesi Nyantakyi after his decision to run as MP for Ejisu

His past was tainted with corruption allegations during his time as the Ghana Football Association (GFA) boss, many find it surprising that Nyantakyi has chosen to pursue a political career.

Following his resignation from all football-related positions due to his involvement in corrupt practices exposed by TigerEye PI in 2018, Nyantakyi has now declared his candidacy for the vacant seat in the Ejisu constituency after the passing of the incumbent John Kumah.

Despite his tarnished reputation, Nyantakyi aims to not only represent the people but also to promote grassroots sports and contribute to the success of football in the nation.

In an interview with Captain Smart on the Onua Maakye show, Nyantakyi outlined his plans for the future, highlighting his dedication to community development and grassroots sports as crucial for progress.

However, many were taken aback when Nyantakyi admitted to paying $100,000 to Anas to suppress the documentary that exposed him, raising doubts about his integrity and motives.

Ghanaians, overall, seem skeptical about his entry into politics and possible return to administrative roles.

Nevertheless, Nyantakyi appears determined, and only time will reveal whether his aspirations will come to fruition.
