Kalybos described the present state of the Ghanaian economy as unrecognizable compared to the past. He lamented the drastic change from an era where citizens worked and earned a decent living to a time of rampant inflation and widespread hardship.

In his opinion, the escalating cost of living in Ghana is not just a product of global economic trends, but also the result of local factors. He pointed out that the inhabitants are inadvertently worsening the situation through their actions. He cited an example of a beverage he used to buy for GHc15, which had surged to $35 in a short period.
