Wutah Kobby, a seasoned Highlife performer, has stated that he is not ready to be called a legend because he is still actively making music.

Wutah Kobby was formerly a member of the Wutah group, which provided high-life, reggae-dancehall music for the enjoyment of Ghanaians.

In an interview with Cape Coast-based Property FM, the ‘For Your Love’ crooner said doing legendary stuff and being a legend are two different things.

“Being a legend and doing legendary stuff are two different things,” he disclosed. “Being a legend is doing cool stuff.”

Nevertheless, after you establish yourself as a legend, you will discover that some of the definitions in dictionaries are myths.

“It’s like something like a myth so we don’t specifically believe it but we say this is what it’s supposed to be. So those of us alive I think once we are alive and we continue to do music we’re still in the writing process we can’t conclude and say this is it.

“If you have noticed critically in Ghana, it is likely that you have retired from music or are no longer active in the music scene once people start referring to you as a legend,” he continued.
