Barbara Mahama, the late wife of soldier Maxwell Mahama, tragically lost her husband in a devastating incident in Denkyira- Obuasi in 2017. Major Maxwell Mahama was mistakenly lynched by the community, who believed he was an armed robber.

Barbara completed her secondary education at Ofori Panin Senior High School before continuing her studies at the University of Ghana for her tertiary education. Not only did she obtain her undergraduate degree from the University of Ghana, but she also pursued a master’ s degree at the same institution. In 2016, Barbara Mahama furthered her studies in the French language at Alliase Francaise.

In addition to her academic achievements, Barbara Mahama served as the CEO of Signature Fashion House. She had a passion for tennis and photography, often enjoying playing tennis during her leisure time. Barbara and Maxwell were blessed with two handsome boys named Jaiden and Jerry.

Despite the immense pain and brokenness caused by her husband’ s untimely passing, Barbara Mahama has displayed incredible strength. Six years after her husband’ s demise, she continues to stand strong, raising their two sons with love and care.
