Logic has returned to album mode.
The rapper from Maryland has said that his new album, College Park, will come out on February 24. His first release since becoming an independent artist is this project.
He revealed the star-studded guest list, which includes RZA, Redman, Joey Bada$$, Norah Jones, Bun B, Lil Keke, Statik Selektah, Seth MacFarlane, and more, in an animated trailer for his “independent debut.”
Logic told fans, “I love y’all and I’m making shit from the heart.” Hip-hop is my favorite. For a while, I wasn’t really feeling it. I’m not really referring to the music; rather, I’m referring to the industry’s nonsense.
However, I am more aware than ever before that none of that matters. I’ve missed you all, and I’m here to have fun and be excited for College Park.
After seven studio albums on the label, beginning with 2014’s Under Pressure, Logic parted ways. Vinyl Days, his final album, came out in June 2022. He had earlier voiced his dissatisfaction with the label.
“I think my relationship has had a lot of ups and downs, but it has really had a lot of ups. He stated to Apple Music, “I can’t sit here and just go in on Def Jam, when it’s not Def Jam, but major labels in general.”
As part of Logic’s new multi-album global partnership with BMG, College Park will be released. When he announced the deal in July, he stated, “I’m just glad to move on to a place where I can be independent, respected as an artist, and feel like I’m in control of my career.”
