Chef Smith finally ends cook-a-thon after cooking for 820 hours

Following his attempt to break the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking marathon by an individual, Chef Ebenezer Smith has finally called it quits on his cook-am.

Although Chef Smith’s initial goal was to reach the 1200-hour mark, on Wednesday, March 6, he achieved an impressive 820 hours.

The chef set out to break the current record, which stands at 119 hours, and was set by Alan Fisher in 2023, when he started his culinary journey on February 1.

Videos of Chef Smith’s celebration at the Amadia Shopping Center when he put down his tools were posted on his social media page.

During this incredible challenge, many celebrities passed through the Amadia Shopping Centre at Spintex to support Chef Smith in achieving the amazing feat, including Nana Ama McBrown, Clemento Suarez, and Kwaku Manu, among many others.

Praye Tietia, Yaw Tog, Amerado, Kofi Jamar, and Asakaa Boys were among the star-studded performers that attracted a large crowd to the cook-a-thon.

Ghanaians are currently eagerly awaiting word from the Guinness Book of World Records regarding the confirmation.
