B. Smyth, an R&B singer, died at age 28.

The R&B singer, whose real name was Brandon Smith, died on Thursday morning at the age of 28 from respiratory failure.

The terrible news was revealed by his older brother Denzil, who said that Smyth had fought pulmonary fibrosis for a very long time.

Denzil thanked the public for its support and pleaded for discretion as his family grieves. With a video that he posted on Instagram, Denzil stated, “It’s a difficult time right now for me, for my family, and we’re just trying to do our best to cope in this scenario.” He requested that I create this film so that he may express his gratitude to you for all of your kindness and support.

The tracks “Might Cuff U,” “Ride Good,” “Twerkaholic,” and “Twerkaholic, Pt. 2” by Smyth are most well-known for having given rise to a popular dance competition.

Denzil continued, “All those new Instagram Reels and TikToks made him very, really pleased and he was able to have a smoother workflow. “He definitely felt all the love and light you guys were sending him and displaying him on social media.

B. Smyth, who was born in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in 1994, was only a teenager when he began sharing renditions of Rihanna and Miguel songs on YouTube.

He signed a contract with Motown Records in 2012, and together they put out his first EP, The Florida Files.

Unreleased…, his most recent release, was released in August. He has worked with musicians throughout his career, including Rick Ross, Young Thug, Future, and 2 Chainz, who made an appearance on his single “Leggo” from 2012.

Peers of Smyth like Snoop Dogg, Sammie, Mike WiLL Made-It, and Breland used social media to express their sorrow over the tragic loss.
