One creative way that Ciara and Russell Wilson have found to give back is by surprise making a trip to a maximum security prison.
Last week, the two reportedly went to the Everglades Correctional Institution in Florida to help lead a prayer with 300 male inmates. The Denver Broncos quarterback and the singer of “Goodies” appeared completely absorbed in the experience in a video uploaded by the organization that organized the trip.
The non-profit helps incarcerated people connect with a nearby church and their families. One more segment of the video showed Russell perusing a couple of entries from the Holy book before Ciara sang to the crowd.
In a post that was shared on Instagram on Friday (March 10), a representative of the non-profit wrote, “27 incarcerated men gave their lives to Jesus inside of a maximum security prison.” In order to hear @dangerusswilson speak, the prison chapel was packed with 300 inmates. In Isaiah, he declared, “Behold, I will do a new thing, Now it shall spring forth,” opening the night. Do you not believe me? I will even create rivers in the desert and a road in the wilderness. 19 of Isaiah 43.
The rep went on to say: There was a brief moment when incarcerated men wrapped their arms around one another and prayed for those experiencing anxiety and depression in a setting that was so easily divided. Men came to the front and wept, giving their lives to Jesus after @ciara sang WAYMAKER.
