A music video for the Black Stars theme song, Bring Back the Love, was released by highlife and Afrofusion superstar Akwaboah.
Ghana’s participation in the FIFA 2022 World Cup and other competitions were both supported by the song when it was published in September.
With a nod to Kwame Nkrumah and Independence Day in 1957, the nostalgic film was shot with the famous Independence Square serving as a significant backdrop.
The song has already been streamed about a million times across digital platforms, and football fans can be seen dancing to it on Osu Oxford Street.
Recently, Akwaboah hinted in a tweet to a fan that he will be releasing hit after hit up to December 2023.
This is undoubtedly fantastic news for music lovers who are impatiently awaiting the release of Akwaboah’s Lighthouse album next year.
The Black Stars face Portugal in their opening match on November 24, 2022, the day before the FIFA Qatar 2022 World Cup gets underway on Sunday, November 20.
