Shatta Wale claims that for a music performance, no Ghanaian artist can fill the Accra Sports Stadium with fans.
A Ghanaian dance hall performer spoke about the controversy surrounding Wizkid’s performance at the Accra Sports Stadium. Live Hub Entertainment booked the Nigerian musician to perform at an event, but he did not show up.
People have been talking on social media about the event’s attendance. Wizkid and the event organizers have been criticized by some netizens for not being able to fill the stadium.
A video of Shatta Wale talking about artists filling the stadium has surfaced while the conversation is still going on. “As someone with experience, I said that Ghana here, nobody has done that kind of show,” he said in the video.
“We have never had a show like that at the stadium where you can see that the place is filled up for one artiste,” he continued, “unless it’s a political rally, if it’s not NPP or NDC or maybe Pastor Mensah Otabil or Pastor Chris, I am telling you people something, write it down, or Duncan Williams, or Bishop Agyin Asare, or maybe it’s Kotoko and Hearts.”
He explained that “every time we fill one side” when discussing how music performances are carried out in the stadium. If you ask, they might tell you that the police don’t want it that way because they don’t want the theft to be destroyed.
Shatta Wale said in the video below that he makes sure to sign a contract with the show promoters before accepting shows at the stadium.
