The family of a woman who was killed and allegedly raped by attackers at Sene Bokankye in the Ashanti Region is seeking justice for their loved one.

The suspects, Kelvin Gyamfi, 24, and Samuel Addai, 31, reportedly committed the heinous crime during a robbery at the deceased’s home.

The 36-year-old mother was asleep when the perpetrators entered her room in an unfinished building and fatally struck her with a cement block.

They then proceeded to rape her before fleeing with her phone and money. The two men have been charged with murder and conspiracy to commit murder and appeared in court.

The family is urging the government to ensure that justice is served for the victim. The victim’s brother expressed the family’s struggles since her death and the need for support for her son.

The incident occurred on February 8, 2024, when the victim was found dead in her room. Police investigations led to the arrest of the suspects, who admitted to the crime.

The autopsy report revealed severe head injuries and signs of sexual assault. The suspects are scheduled to appear in court again on April 4, 2024.
