A Ghanaian man who just migrated to Canada to seek greener pastures shot dead

A piece of sad news has reached the shores of Ghana as a 39-year-old Ghanaian man, Adu Boakye, tragically lost his life in a random shooting incident in Canada, according to the local police.

After moving to Canada three months ago, Adu Boakye left behind four children in search of better opportunities.

The unfortunate event happened at the intersection of Jane Street and Driftwood Avenue while the Ghanaian was on the street to look at a routine job. He was shot by a stray bullet, but luck was not on his side. He was taken to the hospital, where he died from his wounds, despite efforts to save his life.

Detective Phillip Campbell revealed in a statement that Boakye and another 16-year-old boy had been shot at random while they were waiting for a bus to their destination.

The police asserted that there is no tangible link between the attacker and the Ghanaian, and they urged the public to come forward with any information that might help identify and apprehend the person responsible for the alleged gang attack.
