According to the group, making the complete report publicly available is essential for promoting openness, accountability, and meaningful public participation in the constitutional reform process. It maintains that citizens cannot make informed contributions to discussions on constitutional changes without first seeing the committee’s full findings and recommendations.

The Citizens’ Platform stressed that the Constitution belongs to the people and that any review process must be conducted in a transparent and inclusive manner. It argued that withholding the report risks creating uncertainty, fueling speculation, and weakening public confidence in the reform agenda.

The group further called on the government and all relevant stakeholders to ensure that the report is released without delay, allowing civil society organizations, legal experts, political actors, and ordinary citizens ample opportunity to study its contents and contribute constructively to the national conversation.

The Platform believes that broad public engagement will strengthen the legitimacy of any proposed constitutional amendments and help build national consensus on reforms that reflect the aspirations of the Ghanaian people.

With public interest in constitutional reforms continuing to grow, the Citizens’ Platform insists that transparency must remain at the heart of the process, urging authorities to demonstrate their commitment to democratic governance by making the full CRC report accessible to every Ghanaian.
