A young man has sent social media into an emotional frenzy after opening up about the painful reason he walked away from a relationship with a female member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC).
In a now-viral revelation, the heartbroken man admitted he never saw it coming.
“I was shocked,” he confessed. “I didn’t expect it at all.”
According to him, what started as a promising love story quickly spiraled into confusion and emotional turmoil. He explained that he had invested deeply in the relationship — emotionally, mentally, and even financially — believing they were building toward a serious future together.
The young woman, who was serving as a corper at the time, reportedly began acting distant. Calls became less frequent. Messages were delayed. The warmth he once felt slowly turned cold.
At first, he blamed the demanding nature of the NYSC program — long hours, community projects, and the challenges of adapting to a new environment. But what he later discovered left him devastated.
