Fameye, a musician from Ghana, has revealed that when he worked as a teacher, he received a salary of GH150.

The artist revealed during an interview with Accra FM that he used to be a teacher at Mempeasem, a school in East Legon near Trinity.

Fameye said that he enjoyed teaching kids and often sang jamma songs for them. He said that his unique method of teaching helped him get along well with the kids, who called him “Teacher Peter.”

“I have previously taught at Mempeasem, which is in East Legon near Trinity. You don’t need to do much with kids, and I used to sing jamma for the kids a lot. He shared, “I took the kids to the streets too often.”

Fameye affectionately reviewed the experience of showing kids and the delight he got from it, nonetheless, he conceded that the school’s headmistress was now and again confused by his instructing style.

Imagine teaching the songs I taught these East Legon children. I used to be asked what I was doing by the headmistress. I was referred to as “Teacher Peter” by the kids. They once paid me 150 yen,” Fameye stated.
